With the change in seasons upon us here in Phuket Shaun Stenning is often asked what are the best tours to do during the Wet Season. First, prior to answering that question, it's important to understand that the wet season does not mean that it will rain all day, every day. The Best Wet Season Tours
As the wind comes from the West Side of Phuket during the Wet Season the recommended locations for visiting during the wet season are Phang Nga Bay, Hong Krabi, and Khai Islands. Shaun Stenning suggests these islands have protection from the wind and it allows us to manage the potential for rain by watching the radar movement of rain and cloud cover.
The wind protection for Khai Islands and Phang Nga Bay are provided by Phuket itself and Hong Krabi has the added protection of Koh Yao Yai as well.
