The excited team stops at Koh Mai Ton after leaving the 5 Star Marine Pier at Boat Lagoon. This is an excellent snorkeling area and is usually part of our dolphin viewing excursion. They had the entire place to themselves, save for one longtail, and Lucas jumped right in to show off his freediving skills. After that, the boys did some cannonball jumping off the boat before continuing on to their next destination.

Fishing was next on the list, so the private VIP speedboat made a pit stop at Koh Doc Mai, which translates to “flower island.” This is a fantastic diving area as well, but today was all about fishing. Four fish, including a grouper and snapper, were captured in under an hour (please note that all hooks were removed and the fish were released back into the ocean straight away).

​​The boys then proceeded to Ko He, often known as Coral Island, for lunch at Banana Beach Club. This beach club has a good assortment of dishes to choose from, as well as massages, kayaks, and plenty of photo opportunities. There is also some good snorkeling right off the beach. It is suitable for both children and adults, with large loungers, shaded tables, and interesting spaces to explore.

With snorkeling, boat jumping, freediving, and fishing all ticked off, they headed back to base in Boat Lagoon.
